The chamfer option corresponds to a thin flattening of the edges of the letter or the cut-out shape. The chamfering is done at 45° on the front-facing edges, with a width of 2 to 3 mm when viewed from the front. This results in an average flat width of 3 to 4 mm.

Additionally, we perform adaptive chamfering with corner dash, meaning it respects the original design of the shape, which is much more elegant than a standard chamfer that would be obtained by simple contouring after cutting.

The chamfer option thus offers many aesthetic advantages:

  • Chamfering with corner dash restores the shape or letter to its original design detail (which is inevitably smoothed during cutting due to the milling tool's radius).
  • Chamfering subtly enhances the volume effect by capturing light on the edges of the letter or shape.
